SH 99 Pipeline Relocation

Montgomery, Liberty & Chambers Counties, TX

DECON designed pipeline relocation, split casing and concrete protective slabs for water and gas utilities located on Segments H and I of the Grand Parkway – SH99.

The project included structural design and plans, permitting and bidding for construction for various petrochemical pipeline relocations and mitigation measures for the construction Segments H and I in Montgomery County. DECON provided the same services for Segment I in Liberty and Chambers Counties.

The massive SH 99 Grand Parkway program required that it be divided into numerous design and construction packages to allow timely and cost-effective completion of this much-needed roadway in a fast-growth area north of Houston.

DECON served on the team providing the design of Kingwood Drive and constructing the SH 99 Grand Parkway Segments H, I-1, and I-2, for a total of 52.8 miles spanning four counties. The project encompasses the construction of new lanes and the modernization of the existing tolling infrastructure.

The heavy concentration of pipelines in the SH-99 construction area required extensive focus to maintain the integrity of the lines and the safety of nearby residents and workers.
